Anne's House

The pink, single-story house, designed by architect Evert Milles—half brother of Carl Milles—was completed in 1951. It later became known as “Anne’s House,” named after Anne Hedmark, who worked for many years as a secretary and hostess at Millesgården and who moved into the house after Carl’s passing. The interior, which remains preserved to this day, was created by designers Estrid Ericson and Josef Frank, the founders of Svenskt Tenn. During the 1950s, Carl and Olga Milles also spent their summers there while visiting Millesgården. Carl Milles passed away in his sleep on September 19, 1955, in Anne’s House.
