Millesgården Museum is a cashless museum. You can pay for the entrance ticket or annual pass on-site at the museum with a debit or credit card, via Swish, or purchase your ticket online in advance.

The annual student pass does not apply to all special events at Millesgården.

Every Friday from we welcome you to Senior Friday at Millesgården – a perfect opportunity to enjoy art, culture, and our beautiful surroundings at a relaxed pace.



During these days, seniors receive half-price admission – just 85 SEK – and 10% off all purchases in the museum shop.

Here you’ll find practical information for planning your visit to Millesgården on Lidingö. The museum and sculpture park are beautifully located at Herserudsvägen 32 and are easy to reach from central Stockholm by public transport, car, or bicycle. Travel time from T-Centralen is approximately 20 minutes via subway, bus, or the Lidingö light rail. Free parking is available just outside the main entrance, and dedicated cycling paths lead across the Lidingö Bridge.

Public transportation

Travel time from T-Centralen ca 20 minutes.



Subway to Ropsten, then bus 201, 202, 204, 205, 206, 211, or 212 to Torsviks Torg. From there, it’s about a 7-minute walk to Millesgården. Follow the signs. A slightly shorter walking distance can be achieved by getting off the bus at Torsviks Torg, walking about 200 meters to Stjärnvägen, and transferring to bus 238, which stops at Millesgården. 



Alternatively, you can take the Lidingöbanan (Lidingö light rail). Line 21 runs from the Ropsten subway station to either Torsvik or Baggeby. Millesgården is located between these two stations. From Torsvik station, the walk is uphill and includes many stairs, while from Baggeby station, the path is flat. From both stations, it’s about a 7-minute walk to Millesgården.

Parking

Free parking for cars and busses available at Herserudsvägen 32, just outside the main entrance.



Bicycle

Use a bike to get to Millesgården. Cycle path is available over the Lidingö bridge.



- not to bring large bags. We have limited storage options.

- to supervise the children so that they do not climb walls and sculptures.

- that certain parts of the Sculpture Park are not sanded in winter.

- that studded shoes are not allowed in any of our indoor environments.

- that dogs are not allowed in the museum area.

- not to bring drinks in glass bottles.



Electric bicycle batteries / electric scooters

- For fire safety reasons, electric bicycle batteries and electric scooters are not allowed inside Millesgården. These must be left outside the premises.

- It is not allowed to wear crampons or shoes with crampons in the art gallery or the artist's home, as the wooden and mosaic floors may be damaged. Please feel free to bring a pair of shoes to change into, or remove the crampons during your visit. Thank you for your understanding!
