Welcome to Millesgården Museum - an oasis open all year round, only 20 minutes from Stockholm City!
Millesgården was created in the early 20th century by world-renowned Swedish sculptor Carl Milles (1875 ̶1955) as a home, with studios for himself and his wife, artist Olga Milles (1874 ̶1967). In 1936, the couple donated their work of art to the Swedish people and converted Millesgården into a foundation.
The extensive, terraced park contains several buildings, flower-adorned terraces and around 100 of Carl Milles’ sculptures, including some ten major fountains.
The artists’ home, with its Large Studio and Carl’s collection of antique sculptures, is located on the upper terrace. A few flights of steps below is the Millesgården Lanthandel, café and restaurant. On the lower terrace you will find Anne’s House, furnished by Estrid Ericson and Josef Frank of Svenskt Tenn. Adjoining it is the Art Gallery, which houses temporary exhibitions and a museum shop.
Welcome to discover Millesgården ̶ an enchanting place and a haven where you can relax and experience culture.
