The Gallery

Carl and Olga's individual tastes and temperaments found expression everywhere in Millesgarden's interior decoration and art collection.

In 1921 Olga, Carl and his brother, architect Evert Milles travelled together to ancient Pompeii in Italy. Their vivid impressions of Pompeii's Roman ruins preserved in lava inspired a series of neo-classical innovations during the 1920's at Millesgarden.

With their own hands, the artist couple laid their mosaic floor design of black and white marble in the Gallery, transforming a former sun terrace into an elegant dining room.
